The Tunisian Early Childhood Network
The Tunisian Network for Early Childhood is a working group composed of national experts and professionals from all ECD disciplines and sectors. It operates under the umbrella of the ANECD, aligning with its areas of intervention and orientations while implementing its plans and programs at the national level. Additionally, the network carries out its own national activities and initiatives independently and in collaboration with the Tunisian Association of Childhood Inspectors, which hosts all its activities under a Memorandum of Understanding with ANECD.
The objectives of the Tunisian Early Childhood Network are as follows:
- Promoting and activating a culture of children’s rights, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable children.
- Advancing scientific research and knowledge production in the field of ECD
- Enhancing the capacities of ECD professionals and workforce.
- Strengthening networking and experience exchange at both national and international levels.
The network’s activities primarily focus on:
- Raising awareness about the importance of early childhood care and advocating for its issues and rights.
- Supporting national efforts in the successful implementation of ECD programs.
- Promoting comprehensive and high-quality ECD interventions in line with the national strategy.
- Networking with early childhood stakeholders in Tunisia and national networks across Arab countries.
- Advocating for early childhood protection issues and raising awareness about its programs, particularly in relation to climate change, cybersecurity, and various forms of abuse, while providing knowledge-based and advisory support to professionals and specialists.
