The Global TIES for Children Research Center at New York University has published three studies to evaluate three programs in collaboration with Sesame Workshop and the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The programs are part of the largest early childhood intervention in the history of humanitarian response.

The first study drew lessons and evaluated the effectiveness of the television program Ahlan Simsim on children’s emotional development in pre-primary classrooms in Jordan.

The second study focused on the impact of a remote early childhood education program in hard-to-access settings in Lebanon. It is the first research of its kind that assessed a remote learning program for children and families living amidst crises and conflicts.

The third study was an effectiveness-assessment of a phone-based parenting program for Syrian and Jordanian families with young children. It is a pioneering evaluation of an educational program for caregivers delivered through the phone in the Middle East.
