“The First Thousand Days of a Child’s Life Matter” campaign is initiated by the Palestinian Child Institute, commissioned by the Palestinian Network for Early Childhood Development, and supported by the Arab Network for Early Childhood. It aims to promote the importance of the first three years in a child’s life when it comes to their neurological, behavioral, and skill development, in order to raise awareness and advocate for appropriate policies in this regard.
Furthermore, a meeting was held with Dr. Ali Al-Shaar, the director of the “Palestinian Child Institute” at An-Najah National University, and broadcasted on Palestinian television during the live morning program “Palestine This Morning”. The discussion focused on the importance of the child’s first one thousand days of life and how to invest in them, as well as the role of parents, caregivers, and decision-makers in this regard. All these activities are part of the #First_Thousand_Days_Matter campaign.
