UNICEF issued an extensive report on the status of early childhood development in the Middle East and North Africa region, providing a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities surrounding the development of this stage.

The 67-page report presents selected indicators related to early childhood development outcomes and factors associated with them based on international databases managed by United Nations organizations, the latest of which dates back to July 2023. According to UNICEF, the report’s main purpose is to be a resource of information for policymakers, development partners, civil society organizations and other stakeholders involved in supporting early childhood development.
