Director General of the Center for Educational Research and Development at the Palestinian Ministry of Education, and the National Coordinator for large-scale national and international learning measurement studies in Palestine. He is also a member of the Permanent Advisory Committee for Education and Training of ALECSO. Dr. Matar is involved in research and evaluation activities with the Arab Network for Early Childhood Development and is the founder and researcher at the Palestinian Mathematics Authority – Wafa. He holds a third-level academic degree (Ph.D.) from universities in Greece in educational assessment and pedagogy and has numerous published studies and research on education and learning quality, educational assessment, and policy-oriented research.
