The issue also included various topics, such as Child literature in early childhood, Characteristics of poetry presented to children in Omani curricula and magazines, and Psychology of short children in Egypt – a descriptive analytical study. Additionally, the issue featured a translated article on Art education in schools, another on Media literacy between risks and protection, and a presentation of UNICEF’s report titled The State of the World’s Children 2023: For every child Vaccination.

According to the Secretary-General of the Council and Editor-in-Chief of the publication, Dr. Hassan El-Bilawi, the themes of this issue focused on topics and challenges related to the rights and upbringing of the Arab child. These themes have been given special attention by the Council through the implementation of its “Education for Hope” model, which seeks to develop the child’s awareness, nurture his/her intellect, and awaken his/her potential through critical thinking and creativity.

The themes of upcoming issues will center on the protection, empowerment, and integration of children with disabilities, media literacy for children, and preparing children for the demands of the industrial revolutions.

It is worth mentioning that Childhood and Development is a scientific peer-reviewed academic periodical, aimed at publishing enlightened scientific thought that addresses various childhood issues in the Arab world through rigorous academic research conducted by researchers, experts, and professors from across the Arab region.
