The Arab Network for Early Childhood Development (ANECD) participated in the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Moving Minds Alliance (MMA), which was held from November 13 to 15 in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting aimed to support young children affected by crises and displacement.
This year’s convening brought together over 55 Early Childhood Development in Emergencies (ECDiE) professionals, providing a dynamic platform for discussions, knowledge exchange, experience sharing, insights, and strategic planning. The discussions encompassed various aspects related to supporting ECDiE actors, highlighting top challenges and the most effective approaches to support local ECDiE.
The meeting also focused on celebrating progress, planning for future initiatives, and discussing how to increase localization in humanitarian response. It also provided a highly interactive opportunity for participants to share feedback on the meeting’s content, highlight areas for improvement, and identify areas of work they would like to explore further in the future.
MMA expressed significant importance in fostering a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives. And according to the alliance, the 2024 annual meeting was more than just a gathering of ECD professionals- it was a celebration of collective impact and a reaffirmation of the power of partnership.
