The “Arab Network for Early Childhood Development” and The Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs, through its “Higher Council for Childhood” signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 8, 2023 as part of a series of successful collaborations in the field of early childhood development and care.

The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Social Affairs in the Lebanese caretaker government, Dr. Hector Hajjar, and ANECD’s General Coordinator Dr. Ghassan Issa. The partnership aims to follow up on the action plan for ECD issues in Lebanon and the Arab world, especially since the “Higher Council for Childhood” is a founding member of ANECD. A top priority of this collaboration is the launch of the “National Strategy for Early Childhood Development in Lebanon” in cooperation with all relevant stakeholders in Lebanon, from the governmental and non-governmental sectors.
