The National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) was established in 2001 as a supporting umbrella to coordinate and facilitate the work of national governmental and non-governmental institutions, international organizations, and the private sector working in the field of family affairs, with the goal of ensuring a better future for Jordanian families. As a civil policy-oriented intellectual body, the council seeks to strengthen the status of Jordanian families through its primary role in developing policies and legislation, following a participatory approach that brings together governmental and non-governmental institutions working in the family sector.
In 2018, NCFA contributed to the establishment of the National Team for ECD, reaffirming its role in overseeing the implementation of the National ECD Strategy and supporting the efforts of various public and private sector institutions to ensure coordination and integration in providing comprehensive care for children.
The National Team aims to enhance networking and coordination among all ECD stakeholders in Jordan. This ensures the alignment and synergy of efforts, advocacy for ECD issues, and the optimal investment of resources and time to achieve goals within a unified national vision.
